Around 44,000 electricity consumers in Lucknow are set to benefit from an enhanced power supply, as the electricity department focuses on upgrading 18 substations under the Raj Bhavan division.

Engineers have proposed the installation of an additional 10 MVA power transformer at the Dalibagh substation, which currently has three 10 MVA transformers, to meet future load demands. The transformer is expected to be installed before the upcoming summer.

Other key substations under the division, including Cooper Road, BD Marg, and Raj Bhavan, are equipped with two 10 MVA transformers each. Engineers noted that the eight CG City substations and the Arjunganj and Hariharpur substations are also not overloaded at present.
