Festive Special Trains 2025: With the festive season approaching, thousands of people living in Punjab are preparing to return to their hometowns in Bihar and Uttar Pradesh. The Northern Railway has decided to run four pairs of festive special trains, connecting Ludhiana with key cities such as Saharsa, Katihar and Patna.

Starting October 22, each train will make one or more trips between Punjab and Bihar to manage the Diwali and Chhath Puja rush and offer convenient travel options to the passengers.

Ludhiana-Saharsa Festive Special Train (04656/04655)

- The Ludhiana-Saharsa-Ludhiana unreserved festival special train will run a total of three trips in each direction.

- The Ludhiana-Saharsa special train will leave Ludhiana at 11:30 AM on October 22, 23 and 24 and reach Saharsa the next day at 8:00 PM.

- The Saharsa-Ludhiana special train will depart from Saharsa at 11:50 PM on October 23, 24 and 25, reaching Ludhiana at 9:20 AM the next day.

Ludhiana-Katihar Festive Special Train (04658/04657)

- The Ludhiana-Katihar-Ludhiana reserved festival special train will make a single round trip.

- The Ludhiana-Katihar special train will depart from Ludhiana on October 22 and 11:35 and arrive in Katihar on October 24 at 10:00 AM, completing a journey of 34 hours and 25 minutes.

- In the return journey, the Katihar-Ludhiana special train will leave Katihar on October 24 at 1:00 PM and arrive in Ludhiana on October 26 at 11:30 PM.

Additional Ludhiana-Katihar Special Train (04660/04659)

- The Northern Railway will run an additional reserved special train between Ludhiana and Katihar to meet rising demand during the upcoming festive season.

- The Ludhiana-Katihar special train will depart from Ludhiana on October 23 at 4:50 PM, reaching Katihar on October 25 at 3:30 AM.

- The Katihar-Ludhiana Special Train will leave Katihar on October 25 at 6:30 AM and arrive in Ludhiana on October 26 at 6:30 PM.

Ludhiana-Patna Festive Special Train (04664/04663)

- A direct special train will be run from Ludhiana to Bihar’s capital, offering convenient travel options for the passengers.

- The Ludhiana-Patna special train will depart from Ludhiana on October 24 at 8:20 PM, arriving in Patna on October 25 at 10:40 PM.

- In the return journey, the Patna-Ludhiana special train will leave Patna on October 26 at 1:00 AM, reaching Ludhiana on October 27 at 5:00 AM.
