LDA Housing Scheme: The dream of owning a home in the capital is set to become a reality. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will launch the registration process for the Lucknow Development Authority’s (LDA) much-awaited Anant Nagar Housing Scheme on April 4. This massive residential project, located on Mohan Road, is being developed over 785 acres at an estimated cost of Rs 10,000 crore.
The Anant Nagar scheme aims to provide housing opportunities to people from all income groups, with special preference given to those in the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS). Interested applicants can apply for plots through the LDA website or contact the toll-free number (180018005000) for further details.
What makes this scheme unique is its proximity to the state's first Edu-Tech City, positioning it as a future hub of economic, commercial, and social development. Designed to accommodate around one lakh people, the township will feature secure and organised residential infrastructure.
Each block will be equipped with solid waste management systems, shopping centers, marriage halls, and vending zones. The project will be developed across eight blocks.
Meanwhile, the LDA is also progressing with land acquisition for two other major projects in Mohanlalganj – the proposed Wellness City over 1197.98 acres and the IT City spread across 1696.77 acres.
To address the issue of unsold inventory in its residential apartment projects, the LDA is formulating a new strategy to market vacant flats worth over Rs 147.85 crore. A special team is being formed to devise an action plan focusing on marketing, maintenance, and refurbishment of these units.
The move aims to fast-track the sale of:
-119 unsold 3BHK flats in Shravan Apartment (Rs 65 crore).
-34 vacant 2BHK flats in Adra Apartment (Rs 14.33 crore).
-42 unsold 2BHK units (Rs 9.61 crore).
-80 2BHK flats in Sopan Enclave Phase-2 (Rs 30.31 crore).
-16 1BHK flats in Rashmi Lok Apartment (Rs 6.79 crore).
-53 flats in Mrigasira Building, Sunrise Apartment (Rs 21.80 crore).
-Approximately 10,000 flats will be built across 60 plots, providing housing for nearly 50,000 residents.
