To address the housing shortage in the capital, the Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) is likely to approve the Mohan Road Housing Scheme on March 27. Additionally, the sale of flats in Devpur Para could commence soon, with registrations for both schemes expected to begin during Navratri.
The LDA board meeting, chaired by Divisional Commissioner Dr Roshan Jacob, will be held on Thursday at 11 AM in the LDA auditorium. Among the key proposals on the agenda is the launch of the Mohan Road Housing Scheme, which Dr Jacob recently reviewed. The board may also consider a 60-meter road connecting Mohan Road to the Ring Road.
Meanwhile, 50 per cent of the flats in Devpur Para have been completed, and a proposal for their booking will be presented. If approved, registrations will be opened, offering affordable housing to the low-income group (LIG).
Under this scheme, 2,000 flats are being constructed, including EWS (Economically Weaker Section), MIG (Middle-Income Group), and Mini HIG (High-Income Group) units. Over 800 flats are already completed, with the rest expected to be ready in the next two years.

The board will also discuss the registration process, pricing, payment plans, discounts, and installment options. If approved, an online portal will be launched for registrations. Notably, these flats are being built on sites where old, unsold, and structurally weak houses were demolished.
Other key agenda items include reducing flat prices and addressing the Ansal API issue.
