Lucknow-Saharanpur Vande Bharat: The Lucknow–Saharanpur Vande Bharat Express, waiting for regular operations for the past 10 days, is likely to finally receive its flag-off order by Friday.

A crucial meeting involving the Railway Board, two zonal headquarters, and three railway divisions is scheduled for Wednesday to finalise the train’s permanent timetable. Sources say the Board could issue the regular commercial run notification as early as Friday.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had virtually inaugurated the train on November 8 to provide faster connectivity to Naimisharanya Dham and western Uttar Pradesh. However, the Railway Board has not yet released the official notification for regular services, keeping the eight-coach train grounded so far.

The train connects key towns: Lucknow – Sitapur – Shahjahanpur – Bareilly – Moradabad – Najibabad – Roorkee – Saharanpur. For nearby areas, the Meerut–Delhi Vande Bharat remains an alternative morning option.

As per a report by Jagran.com, a senior officer confirmed that a high-level meeting involving the Railway Board, Northern Railway, and North Eastern Railway headquarters will be held on Wednesday to finalise the revised timetable. A decision is expected in the same meeting, and regular commercial operations could start as early as Friday.

According to North Eastern Railway sources, the New Delhi–Lucknow Shatabdi currently arrives at Lucknow Junction at 12:53 PM, so minor adjustments may be needed to accommodate the Vande Bharat at 12:45 PM.
