Lucknow-Varanasi Four Lane Project: The construction of the railway overbridge in Hanumanganj on the Lucknow-Varanasi four-lane is almost complete. Vehicles will ply on the bridge from July 10. The brige will not only provide relief from daily traffic jams at the railway crossing, but will also make traffic movement easier, jagran.com reported.

The National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) had set the date of completion of the four-lane Hanumanganj bypass overbridge in June 2025. By the end of June, both the western lane and the eastern lane were ready. The road work of both the lanes and painting has also been completed.

Relief From Traffic

The date of construction of the bridge, which was approved in 2015, was extended many times but the work was not completed and traffic could not resume. As a result, there are traffic snarls at Hanumanganj railway crossing every day leading to accidents. NHAI project manager Praveen Katiyar said that the work is being completed at a fast pace.
