Lucknow Viral Video: In a incident of public disturbance and misbehavior near the Taj Hotel underpass in Lucknow’s Gomti Nagar area, a group of individuals caused a ruckus for nearly an hour on Wednesday. Reports indicate that they molested a woman and her friend and pushed children and the elderly into the waterlogged area. After videos of the incident went viral on social media, the local police took immediate disciplinary measures against those responsible. The miscreants are also said to have damaged several vehicles by kicking and punching their bumpers and windows.
Responding to the incident, the police registered a First Information Report (FIR) at the Gomti Nagar police station and have so far arrested four of the accused. The police have stated that they are working to apprehend the remaining individuals involved in the troubling scene.

Meanwhile, the local Deputy Commissioner of Police, Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police and Assistant Deputy Commissioner of Police have been removed from their posts with immediate effect due to prima facie negligence in handling the situation. Additionally, the Inspector in charge, Outpost in-charge, and all the policemen present at the Outpost have been suspended.

Furthermore, heavy rain on Wednesday afternoon caused flooding in parts of the Uttar Pradesh Vidhan Sabha building, where the state assembly’s Monsoon session is underway. The two-hour downpour led to extensive waterlogging around Vidhan Bhavan and several areas in Lucknow. Staff members used buckets and mops to clear the water. Samajwadi Party MLA Shivpal Singh Yadav criticised the situation, highlighting the state’s inadequate infrastructure.
