Lucknow: A female passenger slapped an Akasa Airlines employee at Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport in Lucknow. The incident took place on Tuesday evening, following which there was a fight between the two. The security personnel caught the woman and handed her over to the Sarojini Nagar police.

The Airline employee filed a complaint on the basis of which a case has been registered by the police against the accused.

Inspector Shailendra Giri, Sarojini Nagar, said the woman along with her husband Akram, a resident of Mumbai, had reached the airport at around 4.20 PM. The counter of Akasa Airlines closes by 4 PM. A female employee denied the accused entry for boarding the flight citing their delayed arrival, to which the couple objected. When the employee asked them to talk to the higher authorities, the accused woman got angry and slapped her.

When the incident created a ruckus at the airport, the security personnel and Airline officials reached to the spot, and informed the police. According to the police, a case has been registered against the accused under the section of assault and threats.
