Three friends allegedly killed a 15-year-old boy following an argument over a Rs 115 bill in Uttar Pradesh’s Maharajganj district, police said on Sunday. The incident occurred in Ghughuli village on Thursday evening, when the victim and his friends were eating eggs from a vendor and quarrelled over who would pay the bill.
According to police, after the argument over the bill, the victim’s friends took him to a nearby field in Ahirauli village and stabbed him with a sharp weapon. A police official said that the boys dumped the body of the victim, identified as Chandan near the Chhoti Gandak River and ran away.
The victim’s family registered a missing complaint on Saturday afternoon after the teenager did not come home the previous night. The family searched for him with the help of the police, who found his body on Sunday morning. The victim’s father lodged an FIR against three of his son’s friends and police have arrested the accused.

In another incident, a 25-year-old man was shot dead allegedly by his friend on suspicion that he had stolen his mobile phone in Uttar Pradesh’s Gautam Buddha Nagar district. The incident took place in Dadri on Saturday when the accused, Abhishek went to Vishal’s house and asked him to return his mobile phone.
According to a police officer, the two had an argument over the issue following which the victim, Vishal Prasad was shot in the chest by his friend Abhishek Lal. Police have initiated an investigation and efforts are on to nab the accused who is on the run.
