A historic initiative in the field of technical education and skill development took shape in Muzaffarnagar on Wednesday with the foundation stone laying of the Centre of Invention, Innovation, Incubation and Training (CIIIT). The project, inspired by the vision and encouragement of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, aims to strengthen job-oriented education and promote youth self-reliance in Uttar Pradesh.

The event was attended by senior officials and local representatives. Following the ceremony, the minister and dignitaries also carried out a tree plantation drive, highlighting the message of environmental conservation.
The upcoming state-of-the-art CIIIT is being established in collaboration with Tata Technologies Limited, Pune, for Rs 226.52 crore. It will be constructed on a 10,000-square-metre land parcel near the Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI) in Muzaffarnagar, which has been provided free of cost under the supervision of the District Magistrate. The construction is expected to be completed by February 2026.
According to experts from Tata Technologies, the centre will offer training in advanced fields such as automobile engineering, electric vehicles, drone technology, robotics, and artificial intelligence, aligning with global industry needs and enhancing youth employability.
Speaking at the event, Minister Kapil Dev Agarwal said that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s goal is to empower the youth technically and economically through job-oriented education rather than focusing solely on degrees. He expressed confidence that the institute will become a major hub for technical education and employment in Uttar Pradesh.
During the event, top trainees from 21 ITI institutes across the state were honoured with certificates of appreciation by the Minister of State, Principal Secretary Dr Hariom (IAS), Divisional Commissioner Atal Kumar Rai (IAS), Director Abhishek Singh (IAS), and District Magistrate Umesh Mishra (IAS).
Other dignitaries present included Chief Development Officer Kandarkar Kamal Kishore Deshbhushan (IAS), and Yatendra Kumar and Rajnikant Upadhyay from Tata Technologies Limited, Pune.
