In welcome news for devotees and passengers, the path has been cleared for a Super Fast Express train to run from Gomti Nagar (Lucknow) to Puri railway station (Jagannathpuri, Odisha) via Ayodhya, Gorakhpur, and Patna.

MP Ravi Kishan Shukla shared the news of the railway administration's approval for this service, stating that the Super Fast train will commence operations soon.

The MP stated that a letter sent to him by the Ministry of Railways informed that the proposal was approved at the Indian Railway Time Table Conference, held in Jaipur from April 10 to 12, 2024. The proposal for train operations on the Gomti Nagar to Maltipatpur (Puri) via Gorakhpur route is ready, and its operation will commence shortly after approval from the Railway Board.

This new train service will strengthen rail connectivity between major religious sites such as Ayodhya Dham, Gorakhpur, Patna, and Puri. It will not only provide convenience for passengers but will also give a new impetus to religious tourism. This train will prove extremely useful for devotees wishing to visit Lord Shri Ram in Ayodhya, the Gorakhnath Temple in Gorakhpur, and Lord Jagannath in Puri.

Expressing his gratitude for this achievement to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, and the General Manager of North Eastern Railway, Gorakhpur, MP Ravi Kishan Shukla said that this train will serve to connect Uttar Pradesh and Odisha through religious tourism. Devotees travelling from Ayodhya to Jagannath Puri Dham will now have a direct rail facility.
