A passion for education has been ignited among students in Delhi NCR, including those who have previously struggled in CBSE, Uttar Pradesh, and other secondary boards, leading them to secure the top spot in the country for admissions to the National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS).
Notably, these students have not allowed family responsibilities or employment demands to hinder their pursuit of enhancing their knowledge.
According to NIOS records, out of a total of 315,000 admissions this year, the highest number of students, 57,260, have registered from Delhi NCR. The admission process at the institute is still ongoing.
The NIOS headquarters is located in Sector 62 and operates 20 regional offices and 3 cells across the country. The institute provides education to people of all age groups, from the 5th to the 12th grade.
To connect more people with education, the institute is sending teams to various places and communities to provide counselling and encourage learning. This initiative is being undertaken to educate all communities and sections of society.
On-Demand Examination
The institute offers students the facility of on-demand examinations. This allows students who have not been able to pass the 10th and 12th grades from other boards to enroll. They can obtain a regular qualification by taking examinations in those subjects at the institute.
A student can choose the date and subject of the examination according to their convenience. In other words, it provides this facility with the motto: 'take the exam when you are ready'.
