As the inauguration of Noida International Airport on October 30 by Prime Minister Narendra Modi draws closer, construction work at the site has entered its final stage. Key passenger and cargo facilities have been completed, with expedited efforts underway to ensure readiness before the launch.
According to officials, 10 permanent aerobridges have been built in the apron area adjoining the terminal building to facilitate passenger boarding. Of these, nine have already been completed. The folding aerobridges are designed to move forward, backward, and adjust to different aircraft heights, enabling seamless boarding directly from the terminal.

In addition, three temporary aerobridges will be available through bus gates and can be connected to aircraft anywhere in the apron area as required.
For cargo operations, two dedicated stands have been constructed opposite the terminal building. These stands will handle goods arriving at and departing from the airport’s 30-acre multi-modal cargo hub.
Aircraft will be positioned at these stands using a crane system for efficient loading and unloading. The airport will also introduce a single-window Airport Cargo Community System to streamline the transfer of supply chain data for both domestic and international markets.
The Airport Authority has prioritised the safety of passengers with the installation of advanced ATRS baggage screening machines. The ATRS machines aim to offer faster and more accurate checks. 13 operational security lanes will help ensure that no prohibited items such as weapons, explosives, sharp objects, or flammable materials are carried onboard.
With permanent and temporary aerobridges, a modern cargo hub, and state-of-the-art security infrastructure now in place, Noida International Airport is preparing to welcome both domestic and international travellers later this month.
