Energy Minister AK Sharma held a review meeting with engineers from the Power Corporation, including Ashish Kumar Goyal, the Managing Director of Paschimanchal Vidyut Vitran Nigam (PVVNL), at his residence in Greater Noida. The primary topic was ensuring an uninterrupted electricity supply in the district.
During the meeting, the minister gave clear instructions to provide a 24-hour uninterrupted power supply to Noida International Airport, noting its future status as the largest airport in Asia. To support this, he instructed officials to lay an additional 33 kVA line and directed the installation of another 33 kVA line.
The Energy Minister also urged officials to avoid unnecessary shutdowns to prevent inconvenience to consumers and industrial units. He instructed that shutdowns should only be carried out in essential circumstances and with prior notice to the public.
