Noida Airport Update: The YEIDA officials on Wednesday stated that Noida International Airport will soon be ready for operation, as several crucial construction works have been completed already. While providing details, the officials stated that one runway and one terminal building have been completely prepared in the first phase of the construction. He further stated that passengers from all over the country, along with Delhi-NCR, will be connected to the airport. The official added that the airport is being developed as an aviation hub and will be connected to several key cities of the world.

The officials had earlier emphasised that the project is being closely monitored by the Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath. They further stated that the airport will give a boost to the country's logistics, tourism, and investment sectors. Earlier last month, the authority had stated that the airport is being built in an area of 1334 hectares and will have a total of six runways and six terminal buildings in the upcoming months.

They also stated that the total passenger capacity of the airport will be 22.5 crore annually. Earlier in February, CM Yogi had stated that the airport will give a significant boost to the regional and international connectivity.

While providing details, Noida International Airport Limited and YEIDA Chief Executive Officer Arunvir Singh stated that the airport will also be connected to the Delhi-Mumbai Expressway, the Lucknow-Agra Expressway, and the Ganga Expressway. He further stated that the airport will also provide convenience to the residents of Rajasthan, as the distance from Jaipur will be covered only in two hours and 21 minutes.

The officials further stated that YEIDA and the central government are connecting the airport with several expressways and railway stations to boost the connectivity. Singh further stated that the construction work on the Rapid Rail Corridor will commence soon.
