Japanese automotive giant Denso Corporation has announced plans to invest Rs 250 crore to establish a motor generator manufacturing unit in Gautam Buddha Nagar (Noida), Uttar Pradesh. The unit will produce motor generators for hybrid and electric vehicles (EVs), further strengthening the region’s electric mobility ecosystem.
The announcement came following a meeting between Principal Secretary of Uttar Pradesh Industrial Development Department, Alok Kumar, and Denso officials at the company's headquarters in Kariya, Aichi, Japan, on Wednesday.
The meeting was part of a broader investment outreach led by Uttar Pradesh Finance Minister Suresh Khanna, who is currently heading a delegation at the World Expo in Osaka, Japan.
The delegation is engaging with top Japanese corporations to attract investments into Uttar Pradesh. During the visit, discussions were also held with leaders from the Osaka Prefecture Assembly, including Vice President Kida Kaoru and President Kinzo Katsunori, along with representatives from Invest UP and the Indian Consulate, including official Chandru Apaar.
The Invest UP pavilion at the Osaka Expo has been drawing significant interest from global investors, showcasing the state's robust infrastructure, industry-friendly policies, and growing electric vehicle ecosystem.
