Noida Airport News: Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) will soon crack down on illegally settled colonies around the Noida Airport from Dankaur to Jewar, jagran.com reported. YEIDA had identified 35 illegal colonies about a year ago. YEIDA, OSD Land, Shailendra Singh said that action will be initiated (in the form of demolition) against the illegal colony after the availability of police is ensured after the Kanwar Yatra.
Delhi-NCR Buyers Getting Tricked
The land dealers took advantage of the rising price of land in the Yamuna Authority area and the competition for allotment of plots. The dealers have divided the plots of land indiscriminately. Many people from Delhi-NCR region were tricked into buying plots at cheap rates near the airport. However, these plots were not legally approved
To reassure buyers, dealers have not just divided the plots but also laid blacktop roads, electricity, sewer lines etc, thus demonstrating that investment in the colony is completely safe.
After the district administration made it mandatory to obtain NOC from the Airports Authority of India for construction within a radius of 20 km for the security of the airport, the illegal colonies are also under threat.
In another update, YEIDA and the Greater Noida Authority are set to build a 3-kilometre-long link road between Greater Noida and aspirational Noida International Airport, as the authorities are assessing the feasibility of constructing such a corridor. As part of greater connectivity between Greater Noida and the upcoming airport, the corridor will connect the city’s 130-metre-wide road with the 120-metre-wide Yamuna City Road.
