The Noida Authority is likely to revise the opening and closing hours of Ved Van Park in Sector 78 to better suit public use during the winter season. A proposal prepared by Garden Department II is expected to be approved by CEO Dr Lokesh M on Monday.
Currently, the park remains closed from 12 PM to 4 PM during winter, the sunniest hours of the day, and stays open until 9 PM. Residents of Central Noida have expressed concerns that extreme cold during evening hours discourages visitors, reducing the park’s utility and causing potential revenue loss for the Authority.

The Garden Department has maintained that laser light and sound shows run from 6 AM to 2 PM and 4 PM to 9 PM, and the midday closure allows for cleaning and maintenance. However, residents such as Vaibhav from Civitech Society, Sector 77, have requested that the park remain open from 12 PM to 4 PM, when temperatures are more comfortable, especially for the elderly, women, and children.
Park Director Anand Mohan Singh highlighted that Ved Van Park is India’s first Vedic-themed park, featuring plants from the Vedic period, zones named after seven sages, and popular laser shows that are both informative and entertaining. Any changes to timings will be made with the CEO’s approval to ensure public accessibility while maintaining the park’s facilities.
