Noida News: An engineer was trapped in the elevator of a foot-over bridge in village Basai, Phase 3 Kotwali, for an hour on Saturday afternoon. The cops arrived on the scene and assisted after receiving information from two youths.

The police called a technician from Noida's Cleo County and took out the engineer.

After getting out, the young man felt upset and hugged the officer in charge of the police station. The footage of the event also became viral on social media.

Kotwali In-charge Rajkumar stated that at about 12:30 in the afternoon, he was out on patrol. Meanwhile, two young people reported that there was someone stuck in the elevator of FOB of Basai village. Along with the team, he went to the location and consoled the engineer while passing water through the opening between the wall and the lift.

The team then contacted the nearby society and technicians were sent from Cleo County society to the spot. The engineer was take out of the lift after manually opening it.

Originally from Jaipur, engineer Govind Soni rents a home in the village of Garhi Chaukhandi. He is employed with a Noida-based construction business. It was Saturday afternoon and he was coming from Parthala.

"A known individual stood on the opposite side of the FOB. I needed to obtain the keys from him. When I used the FOB to start the elevator, it stopped midway. Even after a considerable wait, the elevator did not move," the engineer said.
