Noida International Airport Update: Passengers coming and going to Noida International Airport will be able witness a greener and more beautiful corridor as soon as they enter the YIEDA area. The authority will develop a 35 km long green belt to Noida Airport at a cost of Rs 692, jagran.com reported. There is a sixty metre wide road to reach the sectors of Yamuna Authority. This road is parallel to the Yamuna Expressway and there is a hundred metre wide green belt between the two.
The authority has not yet developed this belt, but to ensure that those who invest in Noida Airport and Authority area take back with them the beautiful memories of this place, the authority has decided to develop the green belt.
The 35 km green belt from the entrance gate in Sector 17A to Noida Airport will be rejuvenated. Authority's Chief Executive Officer Dr Arunvir Singh said that various species of plants that enhance the beauty will be planted in the green belt.
Musical fountains will be installed in the green belt and benches and sculptures will be installed for people to sit. Theme based landscaping will be done and footpaths will be made for pedestrians. City residents will also get a chance to stroll and spend time amidst greenery.
In another update, to provide fuel to the planes flying from Noida International Airport, 95 per cent work of the pipeline being built from Faridabad in Haryana to Jewar has been completed. Bharat Petroleum has laid a 34 kilometre-long underground line for the special type of aviation turbine fuel (ATF) to be filled in the planes directly from the Pyala depots to the Noida Airport, jagran.com reported. The work of laying the pipeline from Haryana to Jewar Yamuna Expressway has been completed. The work of laying a 1.2 km-long pipeline from under the Jewar canal outside the airport to the oil depots inside the airport is also almost complete.
Soon, the supply of fuel to the aircraft will be started at the airport by connecting the line. The Chief Secretary recently reviewed the construction work of the airport and directed to complete all the work by June 30.
