Noida Metro Rail Corporation (NMRC) is set for the expansion of the Aqua Line from Botanical Garden to Noida Sector 142. The metro service is set to get a major boost with plans to extend it directly from Botanical Garden to Sector-142. This extension will provide significant relief to commuters travelling from Delhi to Noida and Greater Noida.

The proposal has been presented to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, and initial feedback from the government has been positive. If all goes according to plan, official approval for the project could be granted in the coming days, paving the way for enhanced connectivity and convenience for thousands of daily commuters.

The Botanical Garden-Noida Sector 142 Stretch Will Feature 8 Stations

The metro stretch is to be built at an estimated cost of Rs 2254.35 crores and will feature 8 stations from Botanical Garden to Sector 142, namely Botanical Garden, Sector-44, Noida Office, Sector-97, Sector-105, Sector-108, Sector-93 and Panchsheel Balak Inter College. The journey will begin from Noida Sector 142. 

Noida Metro Expansion: This Is How Initiative Will Benefit Commuters

Commuters travelling from Delhi to Greater Noida will soon get major relief with the proposed new metro route. Currently, passengers have to switch between two metro stations - getting off at Sector-51 and then moving to NMRC Sector-52 to catch another metro to Pari Chowk. However, with the new corridor, direct travel from Botanical Garden to Sector-142 will be possible, making it easier to reach Pari Chowk and other areas in Greater Noida.

Corridor Likely To Benefit 1 To 1.25 Lakh People

The proposed metro route is expected to benefit 1 to 1.25 lakh commuters. Based on the DPR prepared five years ago, this route is considered important in terms of improving passenger facilities and local public transport facilities.
