In the wake of the rising security threat amid escalating tension between India and Pakistan, the Noida administration has made big changes in the law and order machinery and transferred 5 senior officials to various locations.
Police Commissioner of Gautam Budh Nagar, Laxmi Singh, transferred 5 top officials to key locations, optimising the security protocol of the district.
Noida Police Transfer Details
Rambadan Singh, who was DCP Noida, has been appointed as Additional Police Commissioner (Traffic), along with supervisor of the FRRO branch and Narcotics branch.
IPS Rajiv Narayan Mishra has been appointed as Additional Police Commissioner (Law and Order). He will also supervise the Writ Cell. Meanwhile, DCP Yamuna Prasad has been shifted from the police line and takes charge as Noida DCP.
Ravi Shankar Nim has been given additional charge of DCP Headquarters along with additional charge of DCP Line, while Preeti Yadav has been given additional charge of DCP Cyber Police Station along with women's security.
States and Union Territories along the border of Pakistan and Nepal have been put on alert after India launched airstrikes on Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir after a terrorist attack in Pahalgam. Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday asked these states to be on alert and increase security measures in vulnerable areas, particularly install vital measures to beat any kind of retaliation from Pakistan.
Home Minister Amit Shah held a security review meeting with lieutenant governors and chief ministers of border states/UTs like J&K, Ladakh, UP, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujarat and West Bengal and a representative of the Sikkim govt through video conferencing.
