Noida Crime News: A 19-year-old boy in Noida was arrested for smashing his father to death with a brick. In the Safrabad area of Noida, Police said on Monday, a teen allegedly killed his father while both were under the effect of alcohol. The two would fight over property issues frequently, which is why when neighbours heard a voice emerging from the deceased's house, they chose to ignore it.
According to a report by The Times of India, the 40-year-old deceased Gautam owned a shop which he had put for sale, and also received an advance payment from the buyer. But his son was not happy with the decision, and wanted the shop to be transferred in his name.
"Gautam had received an advance payment for the shop sale. A dispute over this led to the murder," said ACP-3 Twinkle Jain, the media report quoted.
An argument over property turned into a fatal incident as both son and father were intoxicated. The accused hit his father with a brick and went to sleep in another room. The incident came to light when the deceased’s brother called the police as he sensed that something was wrong after his calls were not answered.
The police arrested the accused from the next room after they found the victim unconscious in his bed with severe injuries to his head and face. A brick with blood stains was also found at the location.
Accused Is Victim's Son With First Wife
In the FIR, police have invoked Section 103 (murder) under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS). According to the deceased’s brother, Deepak, the accused was addicted to alcohol and other drugs and was the son of Gautam's first wife, who left him in 2010, taking their daughter. His second wife died in a fire in 2016.
