Preparations for the Republic Day parade to be held in Delhi are in full swing, and the Gautam Buddh Nagar Commissionerate Police has finalized its security arrangements. A diversion plan has been prepared for the full dress rehearsal on January 23 and the main parade on January 26. DCP Traffic Manisha Singh stated that the diversion plan will be effective from January 22 to January 26. The restrictions will be enforced from 10 PM on January 22 until the end of the event on January 23 and again from 10 pm on January 25 until the conclusion of the event on January 26.

Ban On Goods Vehicles

During this period, the entry of goods vehicles (heavy, medium and light) into Delhi from Gautam Buddh Nagar, or those passing through to other destinations, will be prohibited for security reasons. These vehicles must operate according to the diversion plan. However, emergency vehicles such as medical ambulances and fire services will be exempted from these restrictions.

Traffic Diversion Plan Details

Chilla Border: Vehicles intending to enter Delhi via the Chilla Red Light (Border) will have to take a U-turn from the Chilla Red Light and proceed via the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway to the Eastern Peripheral Expressway.

DND Flyway: Vehicles intending to enter Delhi via the DND (Border) will have to take a U-turn from the DND Toll Plaza and proceed via the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway to the Eastern Peripheral Expressway.

Kalindi Kunj: Vehicles intending to enter Delhi via the Kalindi Kunj Yamuna (Border) will be diverted from the underpass tri-junction before the Yamuna river. They will then proceed via the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway to the Eastern Peripheral Expressway.

Yamuna Expressway (Route 1): Vehicles entering via the Yamuna Expressway to the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway will be diverted from the Phaleda Cut. They will travel via the service road to Galgotias, Gautam Buddha University, Pusta Tri-junction, Honda CL Chowk, and Kasna town to reach the Eastern Peripheral Expressway.

Yamuna Expressway (Route 2): Vehicles entering via the Yamuna Expressway to the Noida-Greater Noida Expressway will be diverted from Zero Point towards Pari Chowk to proceed via the Eastern Peripheral Expressway.

Helpline And Public Advisory

Traffic police officials have appealed to the public to follow the route diversion plan as well as traffic rules. Commuters are advised to use alternative routes to avoid inconvenience. In case of traffic jams or other issues, citizens can contact the helpline number 9971009001 or lodge a complaint on the X account of the Gautam Buddh Nagar Traffic Police.
