The Noida Toll Bridge Company Limited (NTBCL) announced the second phase of its upgrade program on Tuesday, to improve the road and other facilities on the DND Flyway. This work will cost Rs 6 crore and has been approved by the company's board.
Before this, in the first phase of the work, Rs 5 crore was spent to repair about 60 per cent of the flyway's road, which also included electrical and lighting work. Now, the second phase will mainly involve micro-surfacing, which means improving and strengthening the top surface of the road. Along with this, other necessary tasks, like protecting the side barriers, will also be completed.
This repair work is being carried out on this important NCR route to ensure safety, a smooth flow of traffic, and a strong road structure. The work is expected to be completed by January 2026.
A spokesperson for the Noida Toll Bridge Company Limited said that the company has not made any unexpected profits, contrary to the usual allegations. However, the DND Flyway is a vital project connecting Delhi and Noida. More than 200,000 people use it every day. During the construction period, people may face some inconvenience on certain parts of the flyway.
