Under the One Stop Center scheme, aimed at ensuring the safety and empowerment of women, 17 new centers are set to be established across the state. Among these, two centers each will come up in Lucknow, Varanasi, Prayagraj, and Lakhimpur Kheri.

Additionally, one center each will be opened in Bareilly, Kanpur Nagar, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Meerut, Gorakhpur, Saharanpur, Jhansi, Agra, and Bijnor. The Government of India has given its approval for these new centers.

Starting February 2025, each One Stop Center will also be equipped with a dedicated vehicle to provide swift assistance to victims in distress. The scheme provides a range of services under one roof — including temporary shelter, medical support, counseling, legal aid, and police assistance — to women affected by violence.

Currently, 79 One Stop Centers are operational in 75 districts of the state. So far, these centers have extended support in over 2.10 lakh cases involving women and girls.
