Prayagraj News: The Mazar Crossroad Railway Overbridge (ROB) construction is nearing completion. Areas with a significant population, such as Salori, Om Gayatri Nagar, Galla Bazar, and Shuturkhana, would be relieved of the traffic congestion near the Institute of Engineering and Rural Technology (IERT), with it being opened for commuters around Independence Day.
The installation of the ROB's girders is complete. A 72-metre-long, 550-ton girder is now being installed. The Uttar Pradesh State Bridge Corporation (UPSBC) has said that this bridge would be operational by August 15.
UPSBC officials had intended to have the bridge finished by July, but work is still being done on the 16-metre area span. As a result, August 15 has been established as the new completion deadline. A road connecting the girder to the bridge will be built following the girder's placement.
Painting has to be done on the bridge's side railing. In addition, the installation of the sound barrier is required. The entire bridge will then be painted and embellished. An additional 15 to 20 days may be needed for this work. The construction is constantly being observed by Bridge Corporation authorities.

Chief project manager, UPSBC, Manoj Agrawal said, “Continuous monitoring is being done to ensure that there are no technical flaws in the railway overbridge (ROB). The target is to complete the overbridge by August 15.”
4000 Cat's Eye Lights To Be Installed
At an expense of Rs 294 crore, the Public Works Department (PWD) built a 22-kilometre, four-lane road connecting Andwa and Handia. PWD will install 4,000 cat's eye lights on both sides of the four-lane road, following the National Highways Authority of India's (NHAI) lead. According to authorities, a payment of Rs 29 crore has already been made for this.
The cat's eye light will be placed next to the white strip in the center of the road as well as close to the dividers on each side of the four-lane road.
