SIR In UP: A door-to-door Special Intensive Revision (SIR) drive will begin in Kasganj from Tuesday, covering around 11 lakh voters. A total of 1,149 Booth Level Officers (BLOs) have been deployed for this task, with supervisors appointed to ensure proper monitoring. During the SIR, the details of voters listed in the 2003 voter list will be verified, and the process of including new eligible voters who are not yet on the list will also commence afterward.

The district administration has provided special training to all the BLOs deployed in the three tehsils. Each voter's marking page will be verified by the voter himself. His signature and thumb impression will also be taken. There are 1,149 booths in the three assembly constituencies. 1149 BLOs have been deployed at these booths. They will be monitored by 116 supervisors, who will submit their verification reports to the Tehsildar and SDM.

Documents Required

Date of birth before July 1, 1987, name in the voter list of 2003, copy of voter list of 2003, date of birth is before July 1, 1987 and name is not in the voter list of 2003 - such voters will have to give any one of the 11 documents prescribed by the Election Commission. Voters born between July 1 and December 2, 2004 will have to give one of their documents along with the document of their parents. Voters born after December 2, 2004 will have to give the document of their mother and father along with their document.

Documents Accepted By Election Commission

Birth certificate, passport, caste certificate, domicile certificate, copy of family register, forest rights certificate, 10th or any other education certificate, land or house documents given by the government, government identity card or certificate before July 1, 1987, National Citizen Register NRC certificate, government job identity card or pension documents will have to be submitted.
