UP Road Accident: Four people were killed and one critically injured in a tragic accident on the Agra-Firozabad road early on Wednesday morning, June 18, when a speeding pickup truck carrying mangoes lost its balance and fell off the Shahdara flyover in the Trans Yamuna area of Agra, Uttar Pradesh.

A group of morning walkers underneath the flyover were struck by the vehicle. The Agra Police Station area is where the accident took place. Initial reports state that when the driver lost control of the truck, it broke over the safety barrier and plunged down the road below while it was crossing the Sahdra flyover.

The driver's body was recovered by cutting the wrecked vehicle.

ACP Chhatta, Hemant Kumar said, "A pickup vehicle, which was carrying mangoes, lost balance, fell off the flyover on three morning walkers who were sitting under the flyover. The three died on the spot. We are being told that the driver died too. The helper is critical and he has been admitted to a hospital. Necessary action is being initiated."

A few days ago, a speeding vehicle collided with a container truck on the Agra-Lucknow Expressway, killing four persons, according to authorities.

According to Circle Officer (CO) Arvind Kumar, the vehicle was on its way from Lucknow to Agra when the driver lost control and collided with the back of a container truck at the Bangarmau police station.
