UP Festive Special Trains:  As the festive season commences, the surge in the number of passengers going from one place to the other becomes a huge thing to manage, especially the festive rush at train stations. On Tuesday, there was a huge crowd at the Prayagraj Junction, Prayag Junction, Prayagraj Chhivki and Subedarganj stations. A huge crowd loaded the Prayagraj Express and Humsafar Express trains.

There was such a rush that the station authorities had to deploy RPF and GRP to manage the throng.

In view of such a situation, North Central Railway operated three special trains on Tuesday, with an additional eight special trains scheduled for Wednesday. Apart from that, 33 special trains will travel across the North Central Railway zone on Wednesday.

The railways have made special preparations for the passengers, with the RPF forcing them to line before entering the trains.

Chhath Puja Special Train Routes, Time

  • On Wednesday, train numbers 04137 from Gwalior to Barauni, 01927 from Kanpur Central to Madurai, 01922 Veerangana Laxmibai from Jhansi to Pune, 04123 from Prayagraj to Nizamuddin, will be departing at 14.30 hrs, and 01046 from Prayagraj to Lokmanya Tilak Terminus, will be departing at 18:55 PM.
  • Train numbers: 01045 from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus to Prayagraj, 01053 from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus to Banaras, 01481 from Pune to Danapur, 01143 from Lokmanya Tilak Terminus to Danapur, 01205 from Pune to Danapur, 01079 from Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus to Gorakhpur, 01207 from Nagpur to Samastipur, 01415 from Pune to Gorakhpur, 01027 Dadar to Gorakhpur, 02564 from New Delhi to Barauni, 02570 from New Delhi to Darbhanga will run on Wednesday.
  • Apart from this, train number 03008 Khatipura to Howrah, 03510 Khatipura to Asansol, 01906 Ahmedabad to Kanpur Central, 04126 Bandra Terminus to Subedarganj, 05186, Yeshwantpur to Chhapra, 04056 Anand Vihar Terminus to Ballia, 02262 New Delhi to Darbhanga, 02252 New Delhi to Patna, 04034 Delhi to Jaynagar, 07175 Secunderabad to Gorakhpur, 06249 KSR Bengaluru to Danapur, 07363 Hubli to Rishikesh, 01661 Rani Kamalapati to Danapur, 09063 Vapi to Danapur, 09413 Ahmedabad to Barauni, 09321 Dr Ambedkarnagar to Shrivaishno Dham Katra, 09405 Sabarmati to Patna will be run on Wednesday only.
  • Train number 04040/04039 Anand Vihar Terminal-Bhagalpur-Anand Vihar Terminal Reserved Festival Special Express will run on Wednesday and Thursday. It will also stop at Prayagraj Junction.
  • Train number 04684/04683 New Delhi-Saharsa-New Delhi Reserved Festival Special Express will run on Wednesday and Friday.
  • Train number 04674/04673 New Delhi - Jaynagar - New Delhi reserved festival special train will run on Thursday and Friday, which will stop at Prayagraj Junction.
  • Train number 04074/04073 Delhi- Kolkata-Delhi reserved superfast festival special express train will run on 7 and 9 November, which will stop at Prayagraj Junction. The operation period of train number 01153/01154 Deolali-Danapur-Manmad special train has been extended. It will stop at Prayagraj Chheoki.
