Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to expedite relief efforts in flood-affected districts and ensure immediate assistance to those whose houses have collapsed. He instructed that affected families be provided with land leases and housing under the Chief Minister Rural Housing Scheme.
Chairing a high-level meeting at his official residence on Sunday, the Chief Minister reviewed the flood situation, law and order, upcoming festivals, and preparations for the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign through video conferencing. He issued clear directives to ensure that relief work is conducted efficiently and without negligence.

CM Yogi emphasised the need for 24-hour active control rooms in affected districts and ordered that regular updates be sent to the Relief Commissioner’s office. He also instructed the Relief Commissioner to submit daily reports on flood-related developments.
The Chief Minister underlined the importance of distributing nutritious and freshly cooked meals to people residing in flood shelters and directed officials to organise health camps in affected areas. He stressed that no person should remain in dilapidated buildings and must be shifted to safe shelters immediately.
Highlighting the importance of safety in relief operations, CM Yogi strictly prohibited the use of small boats, stating that only large boats should be used for rescue missions. He also called for special monitoring of erosion in flood-prone regions to ensure timely intervention.
In a move to support women during Raksha Bandhan, the Chief Minister announced free travel for women in UPSRTC and city bus services from the morning of August 8 to midnight of August 10. He directed officials to ensure the smooth operation of an adequate number of buses in both rural and urban areas, with no traffic congestion.
Regarding the Har Ghar Tiranga Abhiyan, the CM instructed that the production of the national flag be completed by August 8. He directed that Tiranga Yatra, Tiranga Mahotsav, and fairs be organised from August 9 to 12 as part of the celebrations.

Taking note of fertiliser shortages in the state, the Chief Minister directed that fertilisers be made available to farmers at fixed prices as per their needs.
In view of the upcoming religious occasions, the Chief Minister issued specific instructions:
-Security at Shiva Temples: Enhanced security arrangements must be made at Shiva temples on the last Monday of Shravan. CM Yogi also instructed that no electrical wires remain exposed due to rain, and cleanliness must be maintained in the temple premises.
-Janmashtami Celebrations: The festival of Sri Krishna Janmashtami will be celebrated across the state on August 16. The Chief Minister emphasised that organisers must obtain proper permission for Shobha Yatras and ensure that there is no noise pollution. He also stressed the need for clean and secure temple environments during the celebrations.
