A tragic incident occurred during a wedding when an objection to late-night dancing resulted in the death of three elderly men. An enraged youth drove his Eeco car over the victims. The critically injured men succumbed to their injuries one by one.
The Incident
This shocking event took place at Z-Palace on Kadri Road in Ganjdundwara, Kasganj district. According to eyewitnesses, the wedding ceremony of Vikas, son of Ram Sanehi (a resident of Mansha Nagla), was underway at the venue on Wednesday night. Suresh Chandra, his younger brother Girish, and his brother-in-law Brajesh were attending their nephew's wedding.
The Dispute
Around 1:00 a, young men and women were dancing to the DJ. When the elderly family members present objected to the late-night commotion, a young relative (a resident of Malkhan Nagla, Dreganj police station area) began verbally abusing them. Following their persistent objections, the music was eventually turned off.
The Attack
Amid the altercation, Suresh, Girish, and Brajesh stepped outside the venue to smoke. At that moment, the enraged youth arrived, reversed his Eeco car, and ran over the three men. Suresh’s son, Rinku (alias Sudhir), stated that the accused deliberately ran the car over them a second time before fleeing the scene.
The Aftermath
The three victims were rushed to a nearby community health center but were referred to higher facilities due to their critical condition. Brajesh passed away while being transported. Girish succumbed to his injuries at a private hospital in the Civil Lines area of Aligarh. On Thursday morning at around 6:00 am, Suresh Chandra also passed away during treatment at JN Medical College.
