The Uttar Pradesh government has approved an additional amount of Rs 51.89 crore for the supply of supplementary nutrition to the beneficiaries of Anganwadi centers. The government has taken this decision in view of the rising cost of nutritional materials through the National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Ltd (NAFED).

Along with this, the government has also arranged for an additional budget for the Supplementary Nutrition Program. Due to this, there will be no deduction in the supply to the beneficiaries even after the increase in the cost of nutritional materials.
