Technical Director NK Mishra stated that three new 33 kV lines will be constructed in the city at Rs 20.77 crore, along with 20 new 11/0.4 kV substations. These measures will enhance power supply reliability, and in the event of major faults, it will no longer be necessary to cut electricity to an entire substation or feeder, minimising disruption for consumers.
The initiative is expected to significantly improve electricity quality and reliability for households and businesses in both urban and rural areas of Meerut and Baghpat.
