The Uttar Pradesh government is working towards transforming the education system by developing Chief Minister Composite Schools as a new model of learning. These advanced institutions are planned to be established in every assembly constituency, with each school being constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 25 to Rs 30 crore.
The schools will offer education from pre-primary to Class 12 and will be equipped with modern facilities such as science and computer labs, smart classrooms, a digital library, multipurpose halls, and stadiums.
Alongside this, infrastructure improvements are underway across basic and secondary schools under Operation Kayakalp Abhiyan, ensuring amenities like clean drinking water, toilets, playgrounds, and smart classes. Additionally, under Project Alankar, 2,441 government secondary schools have been provided with upgraded classrooms, laboratories, libraries, computer labs, and improved sanitation facilities.
Over 1,500 schools have been connected under the Prime Minister Shri Yojana, and a budget has already been sanctioned for 57 new composite schools. In a parallel initiative, Kasturba Gandhi residential girls’ schools are being upgraded, and will now provide education up to Class 12 starting this academic session.

Furthermore, the government has allocated a Rs 400 crore budget for the Rani Laxmibai Scooty Scheme in the 2025–26 financial year, under which free scooties will be given to meritorious girl students, further promoting educational access and mobility.
