The UP government has taken steps to facilitate the online submission and processing of applications under the Right to Information (RTI) Act. As part of this initiative, a one-day training session for officials from all districts of the division is being held today, Wednesday, in Meerut.
The training, aimed at Public Information Officers, First Appellate Authorities, and designated officers from various departments, will focus on methods for receiving and processing RTI applications online in accordance with the rules.

The session is being conducted by the Principal Secretary of the Administrative Reforms Department at the Atal Auditorium of Chaudhary Charan Singh University.
Divisional Commissioner Hrishikesh Bhaskar Yashod highlighted that the Information Commission has been imposing fines on officials for failing to process RTI applications as per regulations. The new training and online system are part of the government’s efforts to streamline the process and ensure compliance with the RTI Act.
