UP News:  Train operations between Hirangaon and Firozabad railway stations were disrupted after a cow collided with the Tejas Express, which was travelling from Kanpur to New Delhi on Wednesday. As a result of the collision, the Over Head Electric (OHE) wires got entangled with the engine's panto and broke.

Following the incident, the upline remained out of service for about an hour affecting several trains on the route including the Vande Bharat.

Upon information, a team from the railway technical department reached the spot and began repairing the broken wires. Services were restored following the repair work.

THESE Trains Were Affected

During this time, several trains including Vande Bharat Express, Swarn Jayanti Express, Gomti Express, Kanpur-Tundla Passenger, Malda Town Express, Sealdah-Vadodara Special Train, Guwahati-Agartala Special Train of the up line remained halted at the previous stations.

It also created a state of panic among railway officials, as these trains had to keep their operations at halt for an hour.

The incident took place at around 11 AM while the faulty signals were fixed at around 2 PM. Due to the breaking of the wires, signals of the up and down lines between Hirangaon and Firozabad railway stations failed.

Following this, the up line signals of the Yashwantpur-Lucknow Special Train, Sampark Kranti Express, Jaynagar-New Delhi Special and down line's Mahabodhi Clone Express, Mahananda Express, Seemanchal Express and other trains were also affected.
