Aligarh Accident: A tragic accident occurred on Tuesday morning at the Gopi Overbridge on the Aligarh-Kanpur Highway. A car crossed the divider and collided with an oncoming canter, causing both vehicles to catch fire.
According to jagran.com, four people in the car and the canter died. One person in the car was rescued by bystanders and taken to a hospital. The car, traveling from Aligarh to Kanpur, crossed the divider from the wrong side and collided with the canter. The accident occurred around 5:45 AM in the Akrabad area.

According to reports, Fire engines arrived late. Authorities believe the cause of the accident may be the driver falling asleep or the car losing control. The victims bodies have not yet been identified. Superintendent of Police (Rural) Amrit Jain, along with forces from nearby police stations, is present at the scene.
Rural Superintendent of Police (SP) Amrit Jain said the fire department and medical teams rushed to the site. The injured were removed from the vehicle and sent to the hospital.
Speaking to ANI, Amrit Jain said, "We received information that two vehicles have collided on the Gopi pull. And both vehicles have caught fire. The police, fire team and ambulances reached the spot. The injured were removed from the vehicles. The fire was taken under control. Four people lost their lives in the incident..."
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has taken cognizance of the road accident in Aligarh district. The Chief Minister has expressed condolences to the bereaved families.
The Chief Minister has directed the district administration officials to immediately transport the injured to the hospital and ensure their proper treatment. He also wished for their speedy recovery.
