The Uttar Pradesh government will implement online monitoring for polytechnic examinations through a state-level control room to enhance transparency and security. As per new guidelines, question papers will be encrypted and emailed to exam centers, where authorised personnel will decrypt and print them for distribution—significantly reducing the chances of paper leaks. Additionally, digital evaluation of answer sheets will be introduced.
These reforms were finalised during a meeting chaired by Technical Education Minister Ashish Patel, based on the recommendations of a committee led by AKTU Vice Chancellor Prof JP Pandey. The meeting, held at Tilak Hall in Vidhan Bhavan, also called for security audits of examination software, a practice already followed by AKTU for engineering exams.
Further, academic audits will be conducted for all polytechnic and engineering colleges. The Minister launched the State Institutional Ranking Framework (SIRF) portal to evaluate and rank polytechnic institutions. Institutions with poor performance will undergo scrutiny and corrective actions.

-Building industry collaborations for better student placements
-Implementing standardised rules for government engineering colleges
-Enhancing transparency in the nomination process for working councils and boards of governors.
