The Uttar Pradesh Tourism Department has approved a budget of Rs 41.92 crore for 15 projects aimed at beautifying temples and ghats, as well as enhancing tourism infrastructure in Lucknow. This initiative includes key developments such as the allocation of Rs 99.13 lakh for the Panchmukhi Hanuman Temple and Rs 2.14 crore for the Hanumant Dham Temple in Malihabad, both of which were proposed by Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak.

Additional funding has been sanctioned for several religious and cultural sites based on proposals from various MLAs and MLCs. These include Rs 3.43 lakh for Koteshwar Mahadev Temple, Rs 98.59 lakh for NanakShahi Math, and further allocations for temples such as Mankameshwar Temple in Daliganj and Sitakund at Dudheshwar Mahadev in Alamnagar.

Beyond temple development, the department is focusing on broader tourism infrastructure. The Paryatan Bhavan in Gomti Nagar will receive Rs 9.59 crore for upgradation, while the Smritika War Memorial will get Rs 8.94 crore for the installation of a laser light and sound show.

Further, Rs 4.64 crore has been earmarked for the Raidas Temple in Aliganj, Rs 4.92 crore for tourism development and facade wall construction at the Maharaja Bijli Pasi Fort, and Rs 1.99 crore for ghat construction along the Sai River in Sarojini Nagar. Projects for the Barahi Devi Temple at Rahimabad Mall Road and Tathagat Buddha Vihar in Sarojini Nagar have also been approved, receiving Rs 68.24 lakh and Rs 75.10 lakh, respectively.

Most of the implementation will be managed by the UP State Tourism Development Corporation, while lighting work at the Maharaja Bijli Pasi Fort will be handled by UP Projects Corporation Limited.

In addition to Lucknow, tourism development projects have been planned in the Sultanpur district, with Rs 3.86 crore allocated for the enhancement of several key religious sites:

-Baba Dulhamdas Ancient Temple (Block Dostpur, Tehsil Jaisinghpur)

-Shankar Ji Temple

-Sukhdev Muni Ashram (Village Panchayat Sukhbaderi)

-Sai Dham Shivrajpur Baldirai Temple

These developments are expected to strengthen religious tourism, improve local infrastructure, and attract more visitors to the region.
