UP Trains News: 122 trains suspended on various dates from April 12 due to a mega block will start running on the tracks from Sunday, May 4. Diverted trains will also start running on the scheduled routes as operations will become normal, jagran.com reported. Along with this, all the manual work of Gorakhpur Junction related to train operations will completely shift to the digital platform. The EI building has been completed at the northern gate of Gorakhpur Junction. Electronic interlocking systems have been installed in the building. Testing of the system also began from Thursday. A full day mega block will be taken at the junction on Friday, May 2. During this time, train operations will be completely halted.
The third line, electrification and electronic interlocking system will be tested between Gorakhpur Junction and Gorakhpur Cantt. On Saturday, the Railway Safety Commissioner will inspect and conduct a speed trial of the third line. After his recommendation, the operation of trains will become normal.
The yard of Gorakhpur Junction is being remodeled to completely computerize the signal system after ten years. Under the yard remodeling, pre-non-interlocking was done from April 12 to 26. Non-interlocking was underway from April 27.
After non-interlocking, the third line will be operational from Gorakhpur Junction to Gorakhpur Cantt. Gorakhpur Cantt will start functioning better as a satellite station. Nakha Jungle, Cantt and Domingarh will be directly connected to the electronic interlocking system from Gorakhpur Junction.

All Trains Running From Gorakhpur Stand Cancelled
During non-interlocking, apart from the major trains like Gorakhdham, Humsafar, Chauri Chaura, Vande Bharat, Maurya, Gorakhpur LTT and Gorakhpur-Kolkata Purvanchal etc. running from Gorakhpur, the intercity and passenger trains running from Gorakhpur have been cancelled. Dozens of trains are being run by diverting their routes.
Only a few run-through trains, including Vaishali and Bihar Sampark Kranti Express running from Bihar, are passing through Gorakhpur. Platform number one and three have been opened for run-through trains. All other platforms are completely closed.
