UP Weather Forecast: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast heavy rain in Uttar Pradesh’s capital Lucknow over the next two days, September 17 and 18. This will lead to a drop in day and night temperatures and provide relief from humidity. As per the weather body, the rainfall across the state was five per cent less than the average this time.
UP saw drizzle activity on Monday. The maximum temperature fell by three degrees Celsius, which brought relief to residents reeling under intense humidity.

The day's temperature was recorded at 30.4 degrees Celsius. According to the Meteorological Department, with the monsoon withdrawal from western Rajasthan, there are chances of good rain in most districts of eastern UP including Lucknow. There are indications of the monsoon withdrawal in Uttar Pradesh after September 20.
According to senior meteorologist Atul Kumar Singh, a low pressure area is forming in the west central Bay of Bengal. As it moves towards central India, the monsoon trough has become ineffective. As a result, there is a possibility of some increase in rainfall activity as the moisture coming from the Bay of Bengal reaches the eastern and central parts of Uttar Pradesh.

Rain Statistics
So far eastern UP has received 17 per cent less rain than normal while western districts have received 15 per cent more rain. 734.3 mm rain was expected in eastern Uttar Pradesh, but 610.5 mm rain was recorded. estern districts were supposed to receive 632.9 mm rain, however, 729 mm rain was recorded.
