UP Weather: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert for dense fog in multiple Uttar Pradesh districts for January 24, Friday. The weather body has also forecast rain in the state over the weekend, January 25 and January 26. Temperatures have been rising in UP for the past few days. Mercury crossed 20 degrees Celsius in most districts including Lucknow, Barabanki, Hardoi, Kanpur city, Etawah and Varanasi. Sunshine is being witnessed during the day in many districts including the capital Lucknow.

UP Weather Update

According to IMD, the weather is likely to remain dry in Uttar Pradesh on Thursday. The weather body has predicted clear weather in the western and eastern parts of the state on January 24. During this time, dense fog is expected at some places in both parts. Cloudy skies accompanied by rain and lightning is likely in western UP during the weekend. There is also a possibility of a decrease in temperature due to strong winds.

UP Weather: Fog Alert

According to IMD, dense fog will prevail in many districts of UP on Friday. Dense fog will be witnessed in Deoria, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Basti, Kushinagar, Bahraich, Maharajganj, Siddharth Nagar and Gonda districts on Friday. Along with this, there is a possibility of dense fog in Shravasti, Lakhimpur Kheri, Balrampur, Sitapur, Barabanki, Amethi, Sultanpur, Ayodhya, Ambedkar Nagar, Saharanpur and Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor, Amroha, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Shahjahanpur, Sambhal, Badaun and its surrounding areas. Rail and air services might get affected due to moderate fog at some places on January 26 and 27.

UP Weather Forecast

As per IMD, the weather will remain dry on January 25 and there is a possibility of shallow to moderate fog at some places during late night and morning. The weather conditions shall remain the same on January 26 as well. At present no warning has been issued by IMD for January 25 and 26. Similarly, from January 26 to January 29, the weather will remain clear in the state. Along with this, there is a possibility of shallow to moderate fog in the western and eastern parts.

UP Weather: Varanasi And Ayodhya On Extremes

According to the information by Amausi weather centre in Lucknow, UP, the lowest temperature in UP was recorded in Ayodhya on Thursday. The minimum temperature here was 8.0 degrees Celsius. At the same time, the highest temperature recorded in Varanasi was 30 degrees Celsius.
