UP Weather: The Meteorological Department has predicted rain with strong winds in Uttar Pradesh on April 5 and April 6. There is a possibility of rain in Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Meerut, Ghaziabad, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Mathura, Aligarh, Moradabad, Jyotibaphule Nagar and Bijnor on April 5.
On April 6, chances of rain are likely in Saharanpur, Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Meerut, Bareilly, Pilibhit, Moradabad and Bijnor. An alert regarding the same has been issued by the Lucknow meteorological centre. However, from the second fortnight of April, the state will start experiencing severe heat.
On Monday, the maximum temperature in Lucknow was 36.4 degrees Celsius, with a minimum of 20.8 degrees. In Hardoi, the highest temperature was 37.5 degrees Celsius and the lowest was 24 degrees Celsius. In Kanpur, the maximum temperature was 37 degrees Celsius, and the minimum was 20.8 degrees Celsius. In Etawah, the maximum temperature was 35 degrees Celsius, and the minimum was 22 degrees Celsius and in Lakhimpur Kheri, the maximum temperature was 33.8 degrees Celsius and the minimum was 27 degrees Celsius.
The weather department has released its month-long weather forecast for various states in North and North-West India. According to the forecast, states including Uttar Pradesh and Haryana will witness extreme heatwaves during the month from April to June. The weather department on Monday said that the reason behind this is the active EI-Nino.
Weather In Delhi-NCR
According to the IMD forecast, heatwave conditions in Delhi NCR and Western UP will be slightly less as compared to Madhya Pradesh and Eastern UP. It has been predicted that day temperatures will remain slightly below normal. It has also been predicted that some parts of Delhi-NCR might experience light rains during April. This might bring little relief to the people from the scorching heat.
Weather In Punjab, Himachal Pradesh
According to the weather agency, strong winds with rains are also likely in the states of Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu-Kashmir from April to June.
