UP Weather Update: Uttar Pradesh has been reeling under a severe spell of cold since the past few days. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert for dense fog in 65 Uttar Pradesh Districts on Monday. The weather body has also forecast rain on January 15 and 16. Most of the districts of the state including the capital Lucknow are experiencing cold wave conditions. On Sunday, Kanpur city recorded the lowest minimum temperature of 5.4 degrees Celsius. Fatehpur stood at 6.4 degrees Celsius while Ayodhya was at 7 degrees Celsius minimum temperature, jagran.com reported.

The weather in the state will be clear from Monday, but there is a warning for dense fog during late night in some districts including Lucknow. The IMD has issued a warning for dense fog in the morning and late evening in Lucknow and surrounding areas on Monday. No significant change in temperature is expected for two days.
As per IMD, dense to very dense fog is likely in Deoria, Gorakhpur, Sant Kabir Nagar, Basti, Kushinagar, Maharajganj, Siddharth Nagar and Gonda districts on Monday. Along with this, dense to very dense fog is also likely in Balrampur, Shravasti, Bahraich, Lakhimpur Kheri, Meerut, Saharanpur, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Bampat, Mathura, Hathras, Agra, Firozabad, Etawah, Bijnor, Amroha, Moradabad, Rampur, Bareilly, Pilibhit and its surrounding areas.
Apart from this, dense fog may occur in Kaushambi, Prayagraj, Fatehpur, Pratapgarh, Mau, Varanasi, Sant Ravidas Nagar, Jaunpur, Ghazipur, Azamgarh and Ballia districts. Dense fog is likely to occur in Sitapur, Hardoi, Farrukhabad, Kannauj, Kanpur Dehat, Kanpur Nagar, Unnao, Lucknow, Barabanki, Rae Bareli, Amethi, Sultanpur, Ayodhya, Ambedkar Nagar and Ghaziabad districts. There is also an alert of dense fog in Hapur, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Kasganj, Etah, Mainpuri, Auraiya, Shahjahanpur, Sambhal, Badaun and its surrounding areas.
UP Weather: Rain Alerts
The weather is expected to remain clear in UP on January 14. However, IMD has issued an alert for rain on January 15 and 16. During this period, there is a possibility of very light to light rain along with dense fog. The weather is expected to clear thereafter.
