UP Weather Update: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday stated that several districts of Uttar Pradesh are likely to receive light to heavy rainfall in the upcoming few days. While many of the districts have already been receiving rain for the past few days, the others were dealing with the scorching heat. However, the rainfall will reduce the temperature by two to four degrees Celsius, providing major relief from the heat. The weather department has advised the residents to follow the guidelines and limit their outings to avoid any inconveniences.

While providing details, the weather department stated that multiple districts, including the capital city Lucknow, Agra, Kanpur, and Gorakhpur, are likely to witness rainfall till July 17. Apart from rainfall, these districts are also likely to witness thunderstorms and gusty winds. While the rainfall is likely to benefit the farmers, it might also lead to other issues like waterlogging and power outages.
