UP Weather Update: The Meteorological Center has forecast that the maximum temperature in Lucknow on Monday will be 40 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature will be 20 degrees Celsius. Heatwave conditions have been forecast in many districts of western Uttar Pradesh on April 7 and 8. These include Ghaziabad, Hapur, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Bulandshahr, Aligarh, Mathura, Hathras, Agra, Firozabad, Mainpuri, Etawah, Auraiya, Jalaun, Hamirpur, Mahoba, Jhansi, Lalitpur and surrounding areas.
On Sunday, the maximum temperature of the capital Lucknow was recorded at 38.8 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature was 19.5 degrees Celsius. In many districts of the state, the temperature reached above 40 degrees Celsius, due to which the effect of heat became clearly visible. In districts like Ballia, Fatehpur, Sultanpur, Ayodhya, Jhansi and Hamirpur, the mercury crossed 40 degrees Celsius.
Prayagraj was the hottest, where the maximum temperature was recorded at 41.4 degrees Celsius. Apart from this, the temperature was above normal in districts like Lucknow, Hardoi, Barabanki, Gorakhpur, Ballia, Churk, Fatehpur, Sultanpur, Fatehgarh, Basti, Jhansi, Hamirpur, Bareilly, Meerut and Aligarh.
People Urged To Avoid Heat
The Meteorological Department has appealed to people to take precautions to avoid heat. It has been advised to cover the head while going out in the sun, drink enough water and go out only when necessary.
Possibility Of Rain In Eastern UP
According to the Regional Meteorological Center, there is a possibility of light rain and thundershowers in some parts of eastern Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday, April 8. Also, strong surface winds may blow in some areas, due to which a slight change in the weather can be seen.
Tips To Protect Yourself From Heatwave
-Avoid going out when the heatwave is on
-Drink more water, lemon juice, buttermilk, ORS solution
-Do not stand in the sun for a long time
-Patients suffering from respiratory diseases should go out wearing a mask
-Carry an umbrella and keep your body covered
