UP Industrial Consultants Limited (UPICON) has launched an innovative digital awareness campaign to ensure wider outreach of employment-oriented and public welfare schemes of the Uttar Pradesh government. The initiative aims to connect people, especially youth, artisans and aspiring entrepreneurs, with key schemes being implemented under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath.
Through the campaign, information is being disseminated about major schemes such as the Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana, One District–One Product (ODOP) training programme, Chief Minister Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan (CM YUVA), and the ODOP Margin Money Yojana. UPICON, a state government organisation, works to promote entrepreneurship and self-employment by supporting youth in setting up their own enterprises.

UPICON Managing Director Praveen Singh said that in view of the fast pace of information exchange in the digital era, the campaign has been designed as a social media–based initiative. Its objective is not only to publicise government schemes but also to make eligible beneficiaries aware of their rights, opportunities and training processes so that they can fully utilise the benefits.
As part of the campaign, UPICON has collaborated with social media influencers across different districts of the state. So far, influencers in 15 districts have participated, sharing informative videos on ODOP training and the Vishwakarma Shram Samman Yojana through Instagram Reels, Facebook and YouTube. These videos highlight training procedures, beneficiary experiences and practical benefits in simple language, significantly enhancing public engagement.
According to UPICON, the digital outreach has already reached more than 11 lakh people across various social media platforms. The initiative has helped spread awareness about self-employment opportunities for youth, modern training and financial assistance for artisans, and government support and subsidies for entrepreneurs. As a result, there has been a noticeable increase in applications and participation in the schemes.
The campaign aligns with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s vision of making every youth in Uttar Pradesh self-reliant while giving national and international recognition to traditional crafts and local products. UPICON officials said the digital drive is helping establish direct communication between the government and the public, clearing misconceptions and encouraging more eligible beneficiaries to come forward.
The digital awareness campaign is now being extended to the remaining districts under UPICON’s jurisdiction, with efforts underway to complete statewide coverage. Officials said the initiative has emerged as an effective tool to take employment-oriented government schemes to the grassroots level and strengthen Uttar Pradesh’s journey towards self-reliance and skill-based employment.
