The Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show (UPITS) 2025 transformed into a bustling global marketplace on Thursday, showcasing the state's unique blend of traditional craftsmanship and modern industry. The event successfully connected over 2,250 local exhibitors with international buyers, solidifying UP's position as a prime destination for trade and investment.
A Global Marketplace In Uttar Pradesh
The trade show floor was a vibrant hub of activity, with foreign delegates and domestic traders actively engaging in business discussions and exploring potential collaborations.
Traditional Crafts: Foreign buyers were captivated by products like Bhadohi carpets, Moradabad's brassware, and glasswork from Firozabad. The One District One Product (ODOP) pavilion was a major attraction, highlighting the state's effort to take local products to a global stage.
Modern Industries: Stalls for IT, electronics, and semiconductors also saw significant interest, with delegates discussing investment prospects and partnerships.
High Praise From National Leadership
Both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath praised the state's rapid development.
Prime Minister Modi noted that UP's revolution in expressways and airports has turned it into a hub for investors, calling it a state of "immense potential." He also lauded the ODOP scheme for making local products globally accessible.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath highlighted that UP is now the country's "GI capital" with 77 GI-tagged products and 75 more in the pipeline. He stated that through schemes like the CM YuvaUdyami Yojana and Vishwakarma Shram Samman, hundreds of thousands of young people and artisans are being empowered to become job creators with access to the global market.

The 'Win-Win' Investment Destination
Leaders emphasised that investing in UP is a "win-win situation" for global businesses. The combination of improved law and order with enhanced road, rail, air, and waterway connectivity has made the state an attractive destination.
The interactions at UPITS 2025 proved that Uttar Pradesh is successfully leading the journey from 'local to global,' emerging as a powerhouse for both traditional crafts and cutting-edge modern industries.
