UPPCL OTS Scheme 2025 Update : Uttar Pradesh Power Corporation Limited (UPPCL) is running a One Time Settlement (OTS) scheme in Uttar Pradesh to facilitate the consumers who were unable to pay the dues before the deadline. The UPPCL informed that the scheme will be executed in three phases from 15 December to 31 January. The government has instructed the officials to speed up the publicity related to the scheme through advertisement and other means. 

The corporation has also instructed the officers posted at the subdivision to keep the office and the cash counter open on Sundays as well. They were instructed to keep the offices open on Sundays till the scheme is under operation, adding that strict action will be taken if they do not obey the instructions.

The scheme is divided into three phases, and it will be reviewed after the completion of the first phase. The corporation stated that the centres with lesser registration will be guided to increase the registration. However, the sub-divisional officer and junior engineer will be removed from their posts without any explanation if the number of registrations does not increase. 

To ensure the regular registration by the defaulters, Chief Engineer PK Singh is taking a daily report from all the executive engineers. Executive Engineer of Bamrauli Division Santosh Tiwari on Monday stated that the government has given clear instructions to encourage defaulters to register their names under the scheme. 

Under the first phase, domestic consumers of one kilowatt of power will be given a 100 per cent rebate in surcharge, while domestic consumers of two kilowatts or more of power will get a 60 per cent rebate. However, a rebate of 50 per cent will be given to the consumers if they agree to pay the due amount in four installments.

Besides in the second phase, domestic consumers of one kilowatt power will be given an 80 per cent rebate in surcharge, while domestic consumers of two kilowatts or more power will get a 50 per cent rebate. A rebate of 40 per cent will be given to the consumers if they agree to pay the due amount in four installments. 

After from this, the third and final phase will run from January 16 to 31, and domestic consumers of one kilowatt power will be given a 70 per cent rebate in surcharge, while domestic consumers of two kilowatts or more of power will get a 40 per cent rebate. A rebate of 30 per cent will be given to the consumers if they agree to pay the due amount in four installments.
